Focus Alternative Program Meetings:
Dates for the Focus Executive Board and Parent meetings are listed below. Attendance at the parent meetings is an important way to stay informed and to play an active role in your child's education.
About Focus
The Focus program at Neil Armstrong School is an alternative education program that features:
- Parent participation in the classroom
- Students in the program loop for two years with the same teacher for K-1 and then again for 2-3.
- The hours are different from the other classes at the school to provide an extended day.
Class curriculum is standardized by the district, but teachers use parent donations and volunteer time to supplement school resources and provide additional educational experiences and field trips for students. Please contact a board member for more information.
